Back Side – Fashion from Behind

This exhibition’s original theme is devoted to understanding the back in the history of fashion, from the eighteenth century until today. In an era where the image dominates and identity is a social subject, fashion imagery in the media limits the perception of clothing, showing only the view from the front. Significant in the history of clothing, this partial view is contradicted by the reality of how garments are used.

Winged back, forgotten back, naked back, and more, this exhibition will offer the public a fascinating journey through fashion’s history, with the most brilliant creations of Parisian couturiers and contemporary fashion designers, accompanied by photographs and films.
