1931 Front-Back-Profile
The exhibition 1931 Front-Back-Profile is dedicated to the registered designs. It was designed and produced by the Palais Galliera, with the support of the Archives de Paris. The exhibition is an invitation to discover the extraordinary creativity of Parisian couture of the 1930s, through archival documents, unveiled to the public for the first time. It presents an unpublished collection of photographs and fashion drawings from a collection of more than three million design deposits held at the Archives de Paris. These documents reveal a haute couture industry anxious to protect its creations against copying, by depositing, for each collection, the main models of clothes and accessories with the Parisian industrial tribunal.
